Continua operates at the intersection of archival practice, digital infrastructure, and audiovisual heritage. Continua helps institutions keep digital information and digitized collections alive. The name reflects the work: preservation is a continuous process.
The long-term preservation of digitized and born-digital materials is a dynamic, ever-evolving process that integrates technologies, policies, strategies, and actions to ensure their viability and access over time. Digitized and born-digital materials are inherently volatile and fragile, requiring expertise and planning to be preserved over time. Due to hardware failures, system obsolescence, human error, and climate-related disasters, digital files are at constant risk of loss or permanent inaccessibility, and require continuous monitoring, regular reassessment, upgrades, and eventual migration.
Digital preservation is active and dynamic work: monitoring storage, migrating formats before they go obsolete, training the people who manage a collection, and building infrastructure that survives hardware failure, staff turnover, and climate disruption. Continua builds that capacity directly into the institutions we work with, so it stays there.

Who we are
The Continua team combines two decades of practice across digital preservation, digitization, audiovisual archiving, digital image pipelines, and media post-production. Our work spans industry, academic, and institutional practice across Southeast Asia and beyond, developed in collaboration with national film archives, universities, regional preservation networks, and international bodies including IASA, SEAPAVAA, and FIAF.
